Paintings are pictures that can be placed in the frames that are in your Keep. They are pieces of art depicting elements of the Warhammer lore. Some, if not all paintings, come from previous works of Games Workshop and thus aren't original works.
You find new Paintings by collecting pieces of Ravaged Art. Those can be found at random spawn points in each mission. Picking up Ravaged Art only grants the art to you, not to the other players; however picking it up doesn't remove it from your teammates' game, meaning all four players can pick the same Ravaged Art from the same spot. You can find them at any Difficulty, even playing solo with bots.
The painting you choose for the center frame in your Keep will appear as one of the three below the host's center frame when in a party.

The Carnival of Speckren Vale | A jolly little scene, ain't it? Well, you can't take these things at face value. A painted wagon hides all kinds of horror.
And there's more than one reason to dance around a flame.
|
Default painting | Source
Hunter of the Wastes | It's bloody murder up on the Kislev borderlands. A thunder of hooves, and a severed head soon after.
You should ask Olesya - she's lived it.
|
Default painting | Source
The Beast of Bögenhafen | Looks like the privy decided to start fighting back. If nothing else, it's a reminder not to drink the water around Bögenhafen.
|
Default painting | Source
Bastion of Faith | Now this is a cheerier one. Sigmar's temple shining in the sun. The dawn always comes, if we make it though the night.

Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Righteous Stand
The Three-Mawed Hound | I like a good, loyal hound. That creature has the look of being maybe one of those three at best.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Righteous Stand
In Search of Peace | Given who's standing front centre, I reckon Catrinne's having a bit of a laugh with the title.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Convocation of Decay
Thynge of Appetite in
Woman's Flesh |
I keep hearing how beautiful these daemonettes are, but I don't see it. Must creep over you when they get close,
so I'm happier with them a long way off.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Convocation of Decay
The Loneliest Vigil | I keep telling her that you were all there, but no. Victor Saltzpyre, alone against the world. Still, can't fault the likeness.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Hunger in the Dark
Shrieking Herald of the
Dark Prince |
If that's the messenger, I can love without finding out what the message is.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Hunger in the Dark
Heresy in Chains | Artistic licence being taken again here. Or is it a metaphor for Ghûlmagak's influence over that Helmgart mess?
Why she can't just paint things as they are, I don't know.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Halescourge
Harvester of the Soulfyldes | All those blades, rushing towards you? Not for me, thank you. A problem for someone else while old Franz Lohner oversees the matter
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Halescourge
Fallen Pride in the
Temple of Winds |
I asked Catrinne about this one. 'It'll be our turn next.' That's what she said. I'm starting to worry about her.

Eternal Service | Necromancers ain't that different from nobles. Both want to keep you working long after your parts and pieces have all worn out.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Athel Yenlui
In the Lair of the Flesh-Shaper | Old Albrecht Durnest painted this one. Saw a lot of ridicule for it too because, as we all know, skaven don't exist, do they?
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in The Screaming Bell
Flameryder, Herald of the
Great Sorcerer |
We've quite enough problems around here without daemon-fire, thank you very much. I've a good mind to set this to a flame,
now I think on it.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in The Screaming Bell
Daemon's Crossing | You should have heard the tale Catrinne told me about this place. Something about tentacles.
Seems you were lucky not to run into worse than ratmen and northlanders.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Fort Brachsenbrücke
The Cowl of Changelynge Faces | There are tales of a daemon trickster who steals faces to hide his own. He can look like anyone. Might even be in this room right now. Hang on a minute...
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Fort Brachsenbrücke
Empire of Decay | We've seen a few places like this, haven't we? I much prefer them in oils and canvas than in timber and bone.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Into the Nest
Fateweaver Winged Prophet | So legend goes, this one's blind to the present, but sees the past and future clear as mint on mutton.
Let's hope we never find him around here.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Into the Nest
The Beast of Helgram's Farm | I swear that thing gets larger every time I cast an eye on it. Still, where there's light, there's hope.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Against the Grain
Plague's Messenger | Look at that the size of that bug. Larger than the flies buzzing around Bardin's secret stash, and those nearly have my eye out.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Against the Grain
The Price of Tolerance | Tolerance? What does this have to do with tolerance? I might just need to have a word with that girl. I think she might be getting cynical.
|

A Thyng That Slaughters
Without Reason |
I've heard of Marius. His family said he went on a long walk through his dream. Saw all kinds of ghastly things.
Locked him up, and with good reason.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Empire in Flames
The Tree that Devours Dreams | I don't remember you mentioning anything like this in Helmgart. We might want to watch Catrinne,
I'd hate for her to end up on a witch's Pyre.
|
Finding 3 Ravaged Art in Festering Ground
Ku'gath, Seeping Apothecary | You remember that business beneath the hospice? Well, what you stopped looked too much like that for my beauty sleep.
|
Finding 30 Ravaged Art in Festering Ground
Study of a Northlander Camp (Number 3) | You know the thing I like best about this? That those murdering buggers are very small, or at least a very long way away.
|
Find 3 Ravaged Art in The War Camp
The Blynde Scribe | I had a paymaster looked a bit like that. Well, not the candles - that's a bit much. The leer though? Identical.
|
Find 30 Ravaged Art in The War Camp
The Virulent Sea | I feel a shudder every time I look at this one. It's not the cold. It's not the horde of merciless northlanders making landfall.
But those skies? They ain't natural.
|
Find 3 Ravaged Art in The Skittergate
The Shadow of Rage Unbound | Never crossed paths with a bloodthirster. Never want to. If you've any sense, you'll pray one never crosses your path.
|
Find 30 Ravaged Art in The Skittergate
A Study in Virtuous Nobility | There's a little heart etched on the back! I really do need to have a word with that girl, don't I? This is why I never became a father.
|
Find 150 Ravaged Art in any Mission
Old Comrades | On the right? Countess Gertrun of Middenheim. Don't know the other chap - moustachioed noblemen aren't exactly in short supply around here.
|
Find 260 Ravaged Art in any Mission
Tithebringer of the North | I don't much care for this painting. Has a whiff of corruption about it - still, that's what you get for daubing daemons.
Something unpleasant that creeps into the paint.

This one pops up, now and again. FInds a mortal hero, chops 'em to fishbait, and makes off with their skull as a trophy.

They yearn for the time before civilisation, apparently. Mind you, We've all had days like that. ~ Anonymous ~ |
Have 3 Gors die by warpfire
Cloven Archers | Not many marksmen in the brayheards. Most beastmen aren't too good at the old hand-eye coordination. But ungors?

Ungrol Hornthief | You've got to admire the front of this one. Lacking any real horns of his own, he bashed out the brains of his heard's leaders and took theirs for his own. It's cheating, but it's creative cheating.
