Ungor Archers are a type of Beastmen Infantry introduced in Winds of Magic.
Background[ | ]
Archery and other forms of ranged combat are despised by the Beastmen, but even the most bestial of their kind can recognize the usefulness of attacking the enemy from a distance. This job usually falls to the lowly ungors, since they are the only ones capable of handling a bow. The quality of these archers is meager at best but they can still prove to be a peculiar nuisance if left to their own devices.
Strategy[ | ]
- Ungors have relatively poor aim, and their arrows don't hurt that much so, if one is quick on their feet, they can be easily counter-skirmished.
- Closing the gap will force the ungor archers to draw their weapons and let go of their bow, but this operation takes precious time. Use this to your advantage.
- Shields are useful for blocking their arrows as well as closing the gap, since the arrows do not consume stamina.
